Hello and welcome to my world of children's books and fantasies. My name is D'Maria Scaglione and I
have been on a long journey in my short life. As a youngster I had a creative imagination and all I wanted to do was read,
write stories and draw. In school I was always in trouble for my drawing pictures in class, especially during Math. My life
as an elementary school student was spent many times in the principals office. I went to school at Woodsroad Elementary in
North Babylon, New York. My parents moved to Florida when I was eleven years old. I have been down here ever since. Most of
my teen years were spent in Titusville, Florida near the Kennedy Space Center. I saw many of the Apollo program launches.
I also saw some of the first Shuttle launches as well. It was a marvolous time in History to grow up. Eight years of my adult
life were spent in Law Enforcement and Fire Tech as a dispatcher. I truly loved my job, yet being a single parent, I rarely
saw my son. For about 6 years I worked in electronic assembly and then went on to a computer research firm. During this time
I also took numerous classes in college to finish my degree. When my father took sick in the 1990's, I decided to quit college
and then some years later became ill and never finished, though I have enough credits for a bachelors degree. Someday, I still
hope to complete a degree in the arts. I am also an artist, and illustrator . It's been an exciting journey and
the best part has just begun. Finally becoming an author has been such a thrill and I have met so many wonderful people. I
am grateful for my dream finally coming true. I look forward to the future.
I love living in Florida with my dog Beautiful Dreamer. My hobbies are the water and walking with my
dog. I love and collect angels and I enjoy a spiritual quiet life. God is my saviour and through Him, I believe that all things
are incredibly possible. I have a deep faith and believe in miracles. My artwork is also very important to me. My media is
oil and water color and acrylic. I would love to be able to do some sculpting someday. Working with clay is also a favorite
past time. My dream is to be able to finish college with an art and liturature degree. At least to be able to take more
classes would be wonderful. I feel in life that everything happens for a reason.
